I'm Bill Allison, Chief Technology Officer at UC Berkeley, where I lead the university's technology strategy and architecture, from cloud computing and research data centers to how campus uses AI.

Before Berkeley, I spent ten years building software for the consulting industry, including an online ticket sales system for the San Francisco Giants and a USAID prototype of a stock trading network in the former Soviet Union. Today I co-chair the Berkeley AI Community, open to anyone on campus who wants to build, use, or critique AI.
