Troy Henikoff

I'm Troy Henikoff, Managing Director of MATH Venture Partners, and I teach entrepreneurship at Northwestern's Kellogg School. I got into this by accident. At 21 and fresh out of Brown, I had a job offer in Boston but wanted to be in Chicago. I called Michael, the guy who sold me computers. He told me to start my own company and said he'd be my first customer. He forgot and bought another system, so I lost my first customer before I opened. I started anyway, from my parents' basement. Later I co-founded SurePayroll and Excelerate Labs, which became Techstars Chicago.

Ask me about pricing, financial models, and getting investor meetings.
