About

I’m Steve, a retired attorney who spent thirty years as an appellate lawyer with the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. I briefed and argued more than 150 cases before all twelve federal courts of appeals and later served on the Board of Directors of the Lawfare Project, which combats anti‑Semitism worldwide. My writings on Israel, law and architecture have appeared in the Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Jerusalem Post, Times of Israel and Moment magazine. I earned a Phi Beta Kappa degree in Classical Literature and Languages from the University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. with Order of the Coif from its law school, and I’ve provided counsel to organizations such as Shurat Hadin, Stand with Us, and the Shomron Regional Council.
