I'm Sharif. I work on the Labs team at OpenAI, we invent new interfaces for how people collaborate with AI.

Before that, I founded Lexica, one of the first AI image generation tools, where I trained diffusion models that serves billions of searches a month. I also built Debuild, a code generation tool powered by GPT-3, and Vectordash, a GPU cloud backed by Y Combinator.

I live in San Francisco and spend my free time taking photos, experimenting with software design, researching genetics and longevity, and trying to build the future. Ask me about why I value curiosity over planning when building with AI.
