About
I'm Sakib Jamal, at Afore Capital in San Francisco, and I'm also co-founding a new early-stage investment firm. I was born in Bangladesh, studied in Hong Kong and then at Cornell, and started my career as an investment banking analyst at J.P. Morgan. While recruiting in New York, I crashed on the , a fellow Cornell alum, and left him a book as a thank-you. When he co-founded Crossbeam in 2020, I and spent five years helping build the firm, now Gallery Ventures. I created , and its proceeds help children in Bangladesh go to school.
