Renata Sloupská

I'm Renata, and I make portraits. Working across watercolor, oil pastel, charcoal, and mixed media collage, I capture musicians, writers, public figures, and people close to me, often on handmade paper or black Fabriano card. My Instagram is a window into this practice, one piece at a time. I draw inspiration from artists like Oldřich Kulhánek and photographers like Jindřich Štreit, and the worlds of classical music, literature, and film all find their way into my work. Ask me about portrait techniques, mixed media and collage, Czech art and artists, and finding inspiration in music and literature.
