About
I'm Raia, a landscape architecture designer and researcher at the University of the Philippines Diliman. I co-founded Bangon Baybay, an initiative building community-led, nature-based coastal solutions in Capiz, Philippines. My work started with my undergraduate thesis on mangrove biomimetic landscapes for coastal defense, and grew into a full initiative from there. I'm also a CMAS-PAUA Dive Master and teach SCUBA diving on weekends. Ask me about coastal landscape design, mangroves and nature-based solutions, community-led climate adaptation, and landscape architecture research.
