Rahul Prasad

I'm president of Butterflies USA and board chairperson of Amandla Development, supporting street-connected children in India and disadvantaged youth in South Africa.

I spent over two decades before that as a plasma physicist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory on the National Ignition Facility, until a trip to New Delhi changed my direction. I wrote about that shift in my book, Impact Shift, built around a framework I call PIP=ML. I earned my physics PhD at Yale in 1987.

Ask me about walking away from a career in physics to run two nonprofits on two different continents.
