Pedro Domingos

I’m Professor Emeritus of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Washington, on the faculty from 1999 to 2020 after training in Lisbon and at UC Irvine.

My career has circled one question: can a single learning algorithm, given enough data, discover everything there is to know? That question became my book The Master Algorithm and a body of research that joined logic with probability and helped start several new fields in AI. In 2040, a satirical novel, I imagined a chatbot running for president.
