Lick-Wilmerding High School is a private, coeducational, college-preparatory day school located in San Francisco, California. Founded in 1895 as the California School of Mechanical Arts, it was tuition-free until 1972. The school serves approximately 560 students in grades 9-12 and is committed to being a private school with public purpose, developing the head, heart, and hands of highly motivated students from all walks of life. LWHS offers a diverse curriculum including academics, college prep, technical arts, design thinking, maker space, architecture, performing arts, and more.
