University of Dhaka is a public research university located in Dhaka, Bangladesh, founded in 1921 under the Dacca University Act 1920. It is the oldest university in Bangladesh, known as the highest echelon of academic excellence, with a strong focus on education, research, consultancy, and collaboration. The university comprises 13 faculties, 83 departments, 12 institutes, 20 residential halls, 3 hostels, and over 56 research centers, serving over 37,000 regular students and more than 170,000 affiliate college students.
