Dayalbagh Educational Institute (Deemed to be University) is a multidisciplinary institution situated in the lush, green, and serene township of Dayalbagh in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. The roots of the Institute trace back to 1917, when school education was first initiated in the region with the establishment of the Radhasoami Educational Institute (REI). The Dayalbagh colony was established in 1915 by Most Revered Sir Anand Swarup, the Fifth Revered Leader of the Radhasoami Faith, to create a setting grounded in discipline, community service, and spiritual values. In 1981, the Government of India conferred the status of an Institution Deemed to be University on Dayalbagh Educational Institute under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, by amalgamating the three existing colleges REI, Women's Training College (WTC), and the Engineering College. DEI offers a wide spectrum of programmes including undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral, diploma, vocational, and certificate courses across multiple faculties such as Arts, Commerce, Education, Engineering, Science, Social Sciences, Integrated Medicine, Architecture, and Technical College.
