Established in 2000 under Law No. 13 by the Anambra State Government, the university has evolved from a two-campus structure into a distinguished institution of higher education. Originally situated at Uli and Igbariam, it has grown from inheriting the assets and liabilities of the former Ekwenugo Okeke Polytechnic and College of Agriculture into a leading center for higher education in Nigeria.
