NHS Connecting for Health (NHS CFH) was a UK government agency, part of the Department of Health Informatics Directorate, responsible for maintaining and developing the NHS national IT infrastructure. It was formed on 1 April 2005, replacing the NHS Information Authority (NHSIA), and was responsible for delivering the NHS National Programme for IT (NPfIT). The agency ceased to exist on 31 March 2013, replaced by the Health & Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC), which later became NHS Digital in 2016.
