Jeff Escalante

I'm Jeff, Engineering Director at Clerk, where I work across engineering, operations, security, and marketing to keep a fast-moving team pointed in the right direction. Before Clerk, I led the Next.js and CLI teams at Vercel, shipping Next.js 13 and growing the org from two teams to four. Earlier I built and scaled web platform engineering at HashiCorp across 20+ public sites. My background is in neuroscience, which is an odd foundation for a decade in web engineering, and I'm trying to open a bagel shop. Ask me about engineering leadership at Clerk, scaling teams at Vercel, web platform architecture, and what neuroscience taught me about managing people.
