Trae Stephens

I'm Trae Stephens, Executive Chairman of Anduril Industries, which I co-founded in 2017. I'm also a partner at Founders Fund. I started out in Washington, working for then Congressman Rob Portman and at the Embassy of Afghanistan, then built Arabic and Persian name matching tools for the intelligence community. I was an early employee at Palantir. In 2014, I met Palmer Luckey at a Founders Fund retreat, and we kept coming back to one idea: bring startup speed to defense. That conversation became Anduril. Today I split my time between building Anduril and backing founders. Ask me about why I think the best builders should choose good quests.
