I'm Carina, Professor for Evidence-Based Health Research in the Department of Intensive Care Medicine and Head of Academics at the Innovation Center for Digital Medicine, Uniklinik RWTH Aachen. I lead research and development efforts in intensive care and digital medicine and previously coordinated research in cardiothoracic surgery and worked on cardiovascular critical care and anesthesia research at RWTH Aachen. I studied at Glasgow Caledonian University and Medizinische Hochschule Hannover and work in Aachen, DE.

And my hot take is ICU care will never be patient-centered until clinicians treat monitoring data like noisy gossip, not gospel.
