Public university in Saida, Algeria, founded in 1986. It has eight faculties and 27 academic departments covering sciences, technology, letters, law, and economics, with over 12,000 students and 778 faculty and researchers. The university became an independent institution in 2009 under the name "Université Dr Moulay Tahar".
