Honoring Sol: A Mitochondrial Energy Project #shorts
McCall McPherson created MitoSol to honor his late brother Solomon. His own mitochondria operate at 30% efficiency, and he credits the supplement with dramatically improving his life by supporting the body's natural ATP production.

Okay, so Mitosol. So you guys also might notice a theme, I should say, in our supplement line and even in our logo with the wording Sol and Soul and the sun. I lost my brother Solomon or Saul in November of last year, and this was his big project. Like he had been working on this for months and months and was close to getting it together, and then he very abruptly and unexpectedly passed. We've tried to create ways to honor him in this process. So Mitosol, our mitochondria, if you guys remember from biology, class so many years ago. They take food and stored fat and they create energy from it. They're the powerhouse of the cell. Our body runs— our currency of energy on a cellular level runs on what's called ATP, and that usually is used and made in every biochemical reaction in our system. And mitochondria— fascinating little tidbit here— mitochondria have their own DNA. Within our DNA. So they are not actually blended between our parents. They are inherited directly from our mother. And so mitochondrial DNA is separate and passed down, and you can inherit flawed DNA from your mother that for every food particle, instead of making, I don't remember the exact number, 34 ATPs, maybe you make 20 ATPs or 10 ATPs. So your system is running at a deficit. It is thought that we all come from 8 original women. Because we all are descendants of 8 lineages of mitochondria. So fascinating. I'll give myself as an example for genetically inheriting poor mitochondrial function. I've tested my mitochondrial DNA and they function at about a 30% level, meaning they produce 30% of the ATP that I am supposed to produce compared to other people who produce 100%, right? So my mitochondrial DNA is poor. And also secondary to that, you can be born with poor mitochondrial DNA that doesn't yield a lot of energy, or it breaks down. Our DNA breaks down as we age. It, that is the aging process with our regular DNA. It is also the aging process with our mitochondrial DNA. So as we age again, we become inefficient. We don't create enough ATP. And what MitoSol does is it's different than Adrenal in that it's not exogenous energy. All MitoSol does is it gives us these little nutrients to help us more efficiently create energy of our own. It simply allows your body to make energy more efficiently. This is something that I take every single day of my life. I will take MitoSol every day of my life forever because it has absolutely changed my life.
We over-supplement ourselves so much. I think when it comes to like 2 in particular supplements, especially in our energy bundle, that are something that people actually feel a difference in and actually are worth taking the time in your handful of supplements every morning, it's Adrenosol and MitoSol.
