Mike Andes shows HomeWorks' sequence automation that follows up with customers over ten days using three texts, three emails, and three calls on days 1, 3, and 5. The workflow stops instantly if they accept or decline, designed to end ghosting and get a clear yes or no instead of silence.

  1. I'm going to show you the exact process we use inside of HomeWorks to send automated follow-up to all the customers that we send a quote to. Many times, the reason customers are saying no to you is not because they don't like your price. It's simply because they forgot about your estimate. They didn't even see your estimate or got lost in the shuffle. So inside of HomeWorks, we have what's called sequence automations. Here's the one that I'm going to show you now. Over the course of 10 days, we're going to text, email, and call the customer. 3 times each. Let's dig a little bit deeper, and you can see I use tags as well as the ability to email myself and remind me to give them a follow-up phone call. So you can see on day 1, I give them a phone call. On day 3, I give them another phone call. Also on day 5, I give them another phone call, as well as 3 texts and 3 emails. And you might be thinking that's overkill, or that's— that'd be super annoying. At the end of the day, if the customer asked you for a quote and you spent time giving it to them, whether it be on the phone, on your website, or in person, they can at least just say no to you. And we do make sure there's an option on the quote to actually decline the quote. And as soon as they do that, you'll see here at the very bottom of the automation, if they decline or accept the estimate, it stops the automation. So we're not gonna harass them. If they just wanna decline it, that's fine. But I'm definitely not gonna allow customers just to ghost me where I never hear back from them or I just cross my fingers and hope they accept when in reality I'm at the bottom of a stack of a whole bunch of emails, a bunch of texts, and they totally forgot about my bid.
