Here's how my lawn care technicians can make over $30 per hour mowing grass. First off, I give them 30% of all the labor revenue that they earn for the business. We call this P4P, or pay for performance. Now, our average lawn costs about $80 per cut. Let's assume on average a single technician can do 12 cuts per day. That's going to lead to $960 worth of labor revenue for the business. I give them $288, which is 30% of the labor revenue they earned for the business. That's how much money they earned for that one day. Let's assume they worked 8 hours in that day. That would mean they made $36 per hour.
