One Sentence Changed His Life

As a young boy, he was, as he says, extremely anxious and shy. But Scott also had an auditory learning disability. Made it very difficult for him to understand how to follow instructions in real time. And it was such a challenge for him that he was placed into special education. But the longer he stayed in, the more frustrated he got. And he realized he didn't really belong there, but he didn't do anything about it. Then one day, the special education teacher wasn't there. A substitute. teacher was there. And at the end of that day, she— and he says— peered into his soul and said, I see you. You don't belong here, but you need to do something about it.
