Hallie Bulkin describes Feed the Peds, an initiative that has trained over 2,700 speech and occupational therapists to treat children faster. Families often wait months or longer for pediatric therapy because clinicians lack confidence in these cases. The training helps therapists recognize issues accurately and guide families to effective interventions.

  1. families, they were waiting months, sometimes over a year for help, and these kids don't have time to wait. And at that same time, we had clinicians who could help but who were holding back because they just didn't feel confident yet. So kids were waiting, clinicians were hesitating, and that gap, that's what we're solving. Okay, and what this has grown into is a group of clinicians. We've got a group of over I've mentioned to over 2,700 SLPs, OTs that have taken Feed the Peds, who have stepped into this mission with us, who are part of our community and our movement. And these clinicians have learned how to recognize what's actually going on and think through cases clearly and guide families in a meaningful way. And that's what you are doing now.
