cryptocaryon by gerald bassleer
Practical treatment protocol for Marine ICH (Cryptocaryon) in reef aquaria by Dr. Gerald Bassleer. Recommends combined use of Biofish Food 'matrine' (a Sophora/matrine feed acting as repellant) and the medication Protomor (or Faunamor), plus husbandry actions: raise temperature to mid-high 20s °C, intensive siphoning of substrate, continuous lighting, microfiltration (<300 μm) and optional UV/ozone to disrupt the parasite lifecycle. Emphasises 7+ days of exclusive matrine feed and temporary adjustment/removal of certain filtration to avoid removing medication.
