Stress kills your digestive enzymes before food even hits your stomach. Cut coffee, manage cortisol, and build calming routines first. Skip the microbiome supplements until you've fixed the basics.

  1. If you're stressed out and you have cortisol in your body, you're going to lack certain enzymes.

  2. What is some advice that you would give to people that want to start addressing gut-related issues at a macro level? And what does a good healthy gut lifestyle look like?

  3. For me, it starts with your ritual. Your ritual is going to dictate how your body breaks down food, because if you're stressed out and you have cortisol in your body, you're going to lack certain enzymes. So true. I think some people get too complicated with the microbiome. There's certain things that you just need to start doing. Maybe shut down all that coffee. The coffee's blowing you out. Maybe it's burning you out. Find a balance. Now, I'm also of the person that says you should discern a little bit. Like, listen to our conversation, but don't just take it at face value. Take what we say and investigate, because when you investigate, you are giving yourself an authority. And when you're in your human agency, now you'll go make the decision and follow through with it.
