This 2023 open-access research article (Data-Centric Engineering) describes The World Avatar (TWA) Cities Knowledge Graph — a Semantic 3D City Database and agent-based architecture for scalable city modelling and web interaction. The authors present new components (SQL2SPARQL Transformer, GeoSpatial Processor, City Export Agent with KML tiling), an augmented 3D web client (Cesium-based), and a set of intelligent agents (Thematic Surface Discovery Agent, City Information Agent, Distance Agent, City Energy Analyst) that enable automated model enhancement (e.g., LOD1→LOD2 thematisation), contextual queries, and tracking/derivation of spatial analytics while aiming to reduce misinformation risks in participatory GeoWeb systems (coined GeoWeb 2.5). The paper includes experiments on Berlin and Pirmasens datasets and reports validation metrics for the TSDA.
