How do you reduce the effects of stress when your whole life is stressful? I love this question because it's honest. It's not about trying to have a stress-free life. That's impossible. The question is, how do we recover from stress while still under stress? When we're under chronic stress, whether that's from a job, a relationship, financial stress, taking care of others, what happens is it disrupts our healthy cortisol curve. And so cortisol ends up being either too high or too low or both. And that affects our energy levels, our mood, our focus, our sleep, but it also makes us more susceptible to HPV virus. And I've seen this pattern in my patients now for years, and the research agrees that when cortisol is disrupted, your immune system drops, making you more susceptible to all infections, including HPV. Here's the part I want you to hear. You can't eliminate all your stress. That's not the goal. But you can become resilient to stress. It starts by knowing your stress type because recovery from stress is not the same for for everyone. We need to know your unique stress pattern, including your cortisol levels throughout the day and your adrenaline levels. And with that information, then I guide my patients to re-optimize their cortisol levels using nutrients and herbs. Please know that there is a path forward.
