She pushes back on the idea that avoiding sugary cereals robs kids of fun, arguing that chronic disease from junk food is far worse.

  1. Remember, parents, don't feed your children anything that your great-grandmother's not gonna recognize as real food. If you can't read it, don't eat it. Myths parents need to ignore, part 1. Parents feel that if they made their children eat vegetables and fruits instead of sugary cereals, they're gonna deprive their children of a fun childhood. Well, instead, if we keep feeding them sugary cereals, we're gonna give them a lot of chronic disease, and I don't think that's any fun.
