Dr. Ana-Maria Temple explains how to spot what triggers a child's eczema flare-ups: pets, pollen, eggs, peanuts, and nutrient gaps. The real issue is a dysregulated immune system, so treatment should focus on calming inflammation rather than just avoiding triggers.

  1. Hey, Dr. Ana, how do I know what's triggering the flare-ups? There's so many things that can trigger inflammation, including nutrition, micronutrient deficiencies, dogs, cats, pollen, eggs, peanuts. The list goes on. The main issue is that the immune system has become dysregulated, and our job is to calm the inflammation in the immune system, which then will help the child respond to the environment so negatively.
