creating-value-beyond-the-deal
PwC’s report "Creating value beyond the deal" (PDF) synthesises survey results from 600 senior corporate executives and a Cass Business School study of deal performance (transactions announced 1 Jan 2008–31 Dec 2016) to explain why many acquisitions and divestments fail to create lasting shareholder value. The report argues value is more likely when deals are aligned to strategic intent, comprehensive value-creation planning (including due diligence, integration resourcing, tax/legal and people), and when culture is prioritised from Day One. It includes separate buyer and seller guides with practical steps and research-backed statistics.
